METRO PROPERTIES pools all of METRO’s real estate expertise. We own around 500 retail locations. METRO PROPERTIES engages in active and value-enhancing property management at the national and international level.
Investors, tenants and clients are given expert assistance at the company’s locations around the world. In addition to the headquarters in Germany, the company operates through locations in Poland and Turkey. In other countries, the company is represented by regional managements.

Unwaveringly successful centre management
Together with the joint venture MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH, we are currently managing more than 55 retail parks throughout Germany, the majority of which are owned by METRO PROPERTIES. MEC is responsible for integrated management, including commercial and technical property management, local centre management as well as letting and marketing.

In addition to Germany, we operate in 17 European countries, successfully providing our core competencies there. As such, the Asset Management team is able to use its unique approach to get the most out of the portfolio again and again. For us, project development is about upgrading properties as far as is possible. We keep a very close eye on the market to this end and respond to trends and forecasts in a targeted manner.
Our Asset Management team works round the clock on putting investments to the best possible use and manages measures to further boost the value of the assets. This takes the shape of letting activities, project developments and transactions.
Our centres set standards too: in Poland, M1 is among the most popular shopping brands. Despite ever-increasing competition, M1 leads the market with nearly 100% occupancy as well as the lowest maintenance and operating costs.
