Change at MEC's Management Board

MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG will welcome a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from August 1st, 2016. The current CFO, Jann Robert, will withdraw from the management at his own request as of July 31st, 2016 after five successful years with MEC.

MEC METRO-ECE Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG will welcome a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from August 1st, 2016. The current CFO, Jann Robert, will withdraw from the management at his own request as of July 31st, 2016 after five successful years with MEC. Robert has participated in launching MEC, a joint venture of METRO GROUP and ECE, and has been responsible for the company's finance, property management and administrative business since its foundation. As his successor, MEC has appointed Sebastian Kienert as Chief Financial Officer.

"Advisory Board and Management thank Mr. Robert for his strong commitment and his very successful and valuable work for MEC since the company’s formation in 2011. We wish him success and all the best for his future career", said the chairman of MEC's Advisory Board, Klaus Striebich.

Sebastian Kienert has worked for METRO PROPERTIES in various positions in the field of FM Controlling, Reporting, Controlling and Finance since 2008. Most recently, as Head of Financial Controlling, he was responsible for the entire company controlling of METRO PROPERTIES. The Business Administration graduate studied Business Administration at the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf.

"We are happy to have won with Mr. Kienert an experienced manager with in-depth knowledge of the company for MEC's management board", said the member of the Advisory Board of MEC, Jürgen Schwarze.

Mr. Kienert will push the further strategic development of MEC as Managing Director aside Chief Operations Officer Christian Schröder.
