Oliver Borg appointed new Regional Director Germany of METRO PROPERTIES

Oliver Borg has been appointed new Regional Director Germany of METRO PROPERTIES. He took over this position in addition to his current responsibilities as Director Project Development.

Effective 10 April 2019, Oliver Borg has been appointed new Regional Director Germany of METRO PROPERTIES. The 43-year-old manager took over this position in addition to his current responsibilities as Director Project Development. He succeeds Christian Mielke who is leaving the company at his own request after working for METRO PROPERTIES for more than seven years.

Oliver Borg joined METRO PROPERTIES as Head of Department of Project Development on 1 October 2005. With effect from 1 January 2012 he was appointed Director Project Development at the real estate company. Within the framework of his current duties as Director Project Development he is already intensively involved in the development of major projects in the region Germany. The 43-year-old manager graduated as a civil engineer from RWTH Aachen University and had already worked for several years in the field of project development before joining METRO PROPERTIES.

Oliver Borg will continue to report to the CEO of METRO PROPERTIES, Jean-Christophe Bretxa. “Oliver Borg has been a valuable member of our team for many years already. He is intimately familiar with the issues and the employees. That is a great advantage,” said Jean-Christophe Bretxa.

Christian Mielke is leaving the company at his own request. “We regret the departure of Christian Mielke. He shaped and developed the German business activities of METRO PROPERTIES with great commitment,” said Jean-Christophe Bretxa. “I would like to thank him for this and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
