The Turkish shopping centre M1 Adana, which is owned by METRO PROPERTIES and Fiba Group, was recognised with the European Property Award in the category "Retail Development" with the title of "Excellence".
The award presented by the International Property Awards recognises the best real estate properties around the world as well as excellence in architecture and interior design. The European Property Award sets high standards in the real estate industry by honouring international lighthouse projects.
First opened in 2000, the M1 Adana is the largest and most popular shopping centre serving the Turkish metropolitan city of Adana and the region. A comprehensive new direction of the centre was completed in spring 2017.
One of the most striking architectural features of the M1 shopping centre is its concept of offering a space for shopping and city life. With its reorientation, M1 Adana shows that it is a shopping centre of the new generation. To this effect, the indoor and outdoor spaces of the centre have been brought together. Masterful architectural planning allowed to supply the shops, cafés and restaurants inside the shopping mall with maximum daylight and fresh air. The traditional shopping centre outside the city has become a trendsetting theme park that is part of the constantly growing city of Adana.
